Obama’s Perfect Storm – My concession blog to liberals

Congratulations to Barack Obama, the next president of the United States. I must say his acceptance speech which I am listening to now is eloquent and he is saying EXACTLY the right things. I hope and pray this will be a healing time in our nation.
The perfect storm has brought us a charismatic man as president who has not served a single full term in office anywhere. Never in American history has as inexperienced a man been elected to the highest office in the land. It has been my contention for a long time, that experience is NOT as important as wisdom, born not by knowledge but by life. His life has definitely been out of the ordinary. I hope his experiences will serve him well in this new office.
Obama was the benefactor of the Perfect Storm of happenstance.
George Bush became one of the most reviled men in American History due to his failure to capture or kill Ossama Bin Laden, and a war in Iraq that was totally botched by Donald Rumsfeld. Despite a congress that was Democratic and with an approval rating of less than Bush, Obama overcame that.
Then gasoline prices shook the countries financial stability, which in turn caused major problems in the Mortgage Industry which drives the US Economy as interest rates rose.
In the end Obama was the benefactor of Democratic Screw ups that caused the economy to go into free fall. The Community Reinvestment Act led the way. An act passed during the Carter Administration and used in the Clinton Administration to basically force the mortgage industry to allow too much credit to be given to people who could not pay back loans. Rewarded people for speculating on a growing economy and growing salaries, on changeable rate mortgages that along with the rising cost of gas, put many in harms way.
Ad to that McCain’s inability to produce a valid strategy in the Campaign to deal with Obama’s Charisma and his get out the vote strategies and you have the perfect storm.
I hope that Mr. Obama is not as liberal as he has made himself out to be.
I am particularly concerned that his support from HSUS, PETA and his tax proposals will damage the industry I work and make my living in.
I will at this point support Mr. Obama and what he wants to do. The rest of my country has chosen him as president and I will until I see problems support the majority.
As I go to bed tonite, I do so with a prayer on my lips that this country can change, for the better, and that Mr. Obama can reach across the aisle and work with those of us who did not support him. In the end we all want the same thing. Peace, prosperity, and freedom.
