I got this email today, and while I have problems with the idea that a crime this sensational did not make the national news, I have doubts that the news media conspired to keep it quiet.
I do agree that the NAACP should be as outspoken on a murder like this as they are when a Black Woman accuses Duke Students of Rape. I also agree that if the same crime had been perpetrated on a Black by Whites it would be considered a hate crime and I do no understand why it is not seen as one.
Hate needs to stop on BOTH sides. To ignore one when what we are going after is equality, and to sensationalize another is not equality, it is selling news papers.
We do not need to go back to the days of Yellow Journalism, where any story was sensationalized to sell papers, we should not be giving national attention to any crime unless it is deserving on a National Level.
A local college fraternity has a rowdy party and a woman screams rape is not national news, so why when a black stripper, prostitute? claims rape is this different than the crime below?
The lives of 20 people and the entire Duke Lacrosse team, were ruined by lies, and media over coverage of a non event that was better covered in the local media.
Journalism is no longer even handed. Journalists for the most part today go out with one thing on their mind and that is to prove their hypothesis no matter what the consequences. Dan Rather went with a story that had no second confirming source and was embarrassed. The entire national news media was embarrassed by the Duke Lacrosse Players… so why is this crime less noteworthy?
It has sex, it has a horrific crime, and it has intrigue.
The folks as Snopes.com say this is why OJ and other crimes like Lacy Peterson make the news…
However OJ was a celebrity married to a white woman.. The most famous running back in History, this was national news… a hero fallen. If it had been just another guy killing his wife.. NO STORY.
Lacy Peterson was killed by her husband… only she was missing and pregnant.. she evoked sympathy.
Jon Benet Ramsay was a child whose murder is a mystery… everyone loves a mystery…
Yes all are white.. but the crimes bear no resemblance to this one and this was a Horrific Crime in scope and scale. It deserved national coverage based on the elements, and was not covered…?

This crime was days unfolding. No one new the criminals were black until the second body was found. A pretty young woman is missing and in the hands of a murderer… OR murderers.. Why was this not sensational.. then the facts of the case came out.. which were sensational?
I want equality for all, but as long as crimes like this are ignored, the media is showing bias and a lack of concern for the truth.
Not every white person is a killer, and not every black man is a killer, but when we ignore terrible, awful crimmes for fear of offending??
Did Jesse or Al bother to call the families and express a need to help?
Not just blacks suffer from crime, so why do 2 black ministers who get into every possible situation, right or wrong, stay out of this one. Does any one remember that Al Sharpton was behind the attempted railroading of several NY City Police men who were wrongfully accused of Rape?
Racism comes in all shapes and colors and is not the exclusive property of white people.

Can you imagine the outrage if 5 whites and done this to 2 blacks or Mexican people? It would run on CNN – MSNBC (Obama headquarters) for weeks! But no, if it’s a “white” couple who is raped, tortured, mutilated and killed then “lets bury the story”.
The animals described below; car-jacked, then raped Christopher Newsom, cut off his penis, then set him on fire and fatally shot him several times while they forced his girlfriend, Channon Christian, to watch. An even more cruel fate awaited her!
Channon Christian was beaten and gang-raped in many ways for four days by all of them, while they took turns urinating on her. Then they cut off her breasts and put chemicals in her mouth… and then murdered her.

Knoxville (WVLT) – The District Attorney General of Knox County announced the list of charges facing now five suspects in the double murder of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom.
The District Attorney General Randy Nichols is not saying whether or not he will seek the death penalty, but he does say the State will seek conviction for all charges filed in a 24-page indictment from the Knox County Grand Jury.
Lemaricus Davidson, 25, faces a total of 46 charges. Davidson was indicted on 16 counts of Felony Murder growing out of rape, robbery kidnapping and theft of Channon Christian and Chris Newsom, 2 counts premeditated murder of Christian and Newsom, 2 counts especially aggravated robberies from Christian and Newsom, 4 counts especially aggravated kidnapping of Christian and Newsom, 20 counts aggravated rape of Christian and Newsom, and 2 counts of theft from Christian and Newsom.
Letalvis Cobbins, 24, faces a total of 46 charges. Cobbins was indicted on 16 counts of Felony Murder growing out of rape, robbery kidnapping and theft of Channon Christian and Chris Newsom, 2 counts premeditated murder of Christian and Newsom, 2 counts especially aggravated robberies from Christian and Newsom, 4 counts especially ag gravated kidnapping of Christian and Newsom, 20 counts aggravated rape of Christian and Newsom, and 2 counts of theft from Christian and Newsom.
George Thomas, 24, faces a total of 46 charges. Thomas was indicted on 16 counts of Felony Murder growing out of rape, robbery kidnapping and theft of Channon Christian and Chris Newsom, 2 counts premeditated murder of Christian and Newsom, 2 counts especially aggravated robberies from Christian and Newsom, 4 counts especially aggravated kidnapping of Christian and Newsom, 20 counts aggravated rape of Christian and Newsom, an d 2 counts of theft from Christian and Newsom.
Vanessa Coleman, 18, faces 40 Tennessee state charges. Coleman was indicted on 12 counts of Felony Murder growing out of rape, robbery kidnapping and theft of Channon Christian and Chris Newsom, 1 count Premeditated Murder of Christian only, 1 count Especially Aggravated Robbery of Newsom only, 4 counts especially aggravated kidnapping of Christian and Newsom, 20 counts of aggravated rape of Christian and Newsom and 2 Counts of t heft from Christian and Newsom.
Eric Boyd, 24, also arrested in connection with the fatal carjacking, only faces federal charges as an accessory after the fact. He was not indicted by Knox county grand jury.
Felony Murder carries a possibility of death, life without the possibility of parole and life with parole. Especially Aggravated Robbery is a Class A felony that carries a possibility of 15 to 60 years in prison. Aggravated Rape is a Class A felony that carries a possibility of 15 to 60 years of prison.
At a news conference Thursday, Nichols commended the cooperative efforts between several departments and credits that cooperation for the fast pace this case is moving through the court system.
Nichols says he hopes to move the case to trial on the first day its set.
The four are expected to make their first court appearance within ten to fifteen days.
This is certainly a case garnering a lot of public interest, Nichols recognizes that and says he expects all kinds of requests filed in this case, including a change of venue in order to receive a fair trial.. But he says he does hope 12 Knox County jurors will be able to determine the guilt or innocence of these suspects.
Where are Al and Jesse? Are they providing counsel and help to the families of the victims?
Of course not – the victims were white.
Why hasn’t this received National coverage by the news media like the Duke “rape” case?

So, if a white radio shock jock uses the phrase “Nappy headed”, it gets 2 weeks of constant news coverage.
If two white people are tortured, raped, and murdered by a group of black people, it barely gets a blip in the news.
Pass this around, and maybe, just maybe, it will land in the hands of someone in the media or politics, that has the guts to stand up for the white people!!

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson represent only black people and so does NAACP, they dont get involved in white peoples cases. If white people want protection then you can create such an organization that will help these people.
Excuse me, but Jesse Jackson and Reverend Sharpton have both run for President. So saying they do not get involved in White People cases is a joke.
Beyond that it makes them rascists when the freedom of all is not guaranteed. We fought a terrible war for that reason. While the NAACP is a black organization, when blacks kill, they should be concerned with Justice for the victims whether they are white or black.
Jesse and Al both are just enablers of a “poor pitiful me” society. I wouldn’t want their help with a damned thing. I’d rather die on my feet fighting for something rather than be on my kness asking for a handout, which is what perpetuates this whole Jesse and Al charade. The vast majority of blacks in this nation is held unaccountable for their actions- not anymore…looks like these primates are gonna get what they have coming, and it puts a HUGE smile on my face.
And white people don’t need an “organization” to help justify our actions and responsibilities…we do that on our own. And as for protection, we have a great company in Smith And Wesson.
