Follow up to HSUS + PETA = Dead Pets

Humane Society of the United States Does Little to Help Homeless Dogs and Cats
“WASHINGTON – According to new research from the nonprofit Center for Consumer Freedom (CCF), the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) contributed less than four percent of its $91.5 million budget to hands-on dog and cat shelters in 2007. CCF is criticizing the nation’s largest animal rights group for not doing more to help hard-working local humane societies, calling HSUS’s name “misleading.” According to its most recent tax return (filed on November 14, 2008), HSUS contributed about $3.1 million of its $91.5 million operating budget to hands-on pet shelters. CCF performed an exhaustive audit of HSUS’s giving last month. CCF Director of Research David Martosko expressed a growing sentiment among animal lovers that the Humane Society isn’t living up to its name: ‘Pet lovers donated over $85 million to HSUS in 2007, but only a tiny sliver of that went to helping homeless dogs and cats. That’s nothing compared to what HSUS spends hassling hunters, complaining about circus elephants, and trying to remove meat and dairy foods from the American diet.’” (Source: The Center for Consumer Freedom Press Release) Read the full release by by going to http://www.consumerfreedom.com/pressRelease_detail.cfm/release/259. This backs up my previous blog where I stated that Hunters, and fishermen pay the tax bill to protect animals and to increase the numbers, while HSUS and PETA simply suck money from the real issue, which is habitat, for personal salaries and domestic terror.
Pick any national hunting or fishing organization and you will find more money is spent by those organizations for the acquiring of land and habitat for wild animals than any money spent by Peta and HSUS for the same thing. The fact is HSUS and PETA are Animal Segregationist organizations. They preach the end to ownership of all animals, and returning all animals to the wild. Their mandates for the end to all testing of animals is scary at the least, and dangerous to the future of animals and man. The biggest example is Bird Flu. Stopping this disease in Birds means doing research. That research can not be conducted on people. The way the flu moves through the animal population and then into humans is a link that can not be duplicated. The flu epidemic of 1918 killed millions. Another pandemic could do the same today despite scientific advances.

  1. When is America going to wake up and see the true agenda of the domestic terrorist group known as the Humane Society of the United States? HSUS dictates a vegan America and the end of pet ownership. Why is the press, donators, and Ellen DeGeners still supporting them? This is MADNESS! Are people supporting them based on their name? Get the facts please!
